The Federal Government is trying to ban the Muscovy Duck. This is a wonderful duck that does more, than being raised for meat. This duck goes after flies, mosquitoes and their larva, roaches, and other insects. They lay really good and tasty eggs. They are quiet and tame. The Muscovy make great farm/ranching livestock. The Muscovy Duck originated in South America. It was brought to Europe, then later America in the 1800's. This bird is not an invasive species. It is part of American Agricultural History and Traditions.
