Why Bitcoin and Bitclub Network?

Why Bitcoin?

Hmmm, well...why not?!  Everytime I introduce the bitcoin technology to family, friends, and colleagues.  I get the "why".  It's the new digital money that's coming up through the internet.

I invest in Bitcoin because it is easy to use and it's value is higher than any fiat currency in the world.  It's easy to send Bitcoin to my wife or children from my digital wallet to theirs.

The fees are incredibly low unlike Western Union, Paypal, Pinoy Express, or bank wire.  I'm able to send small amounts of US dollars in Bitcoin and not pay extravagant fees. You can't send $3 USD on Western Union without paying the $6 or higher fee.  It's not worth the trouble if the fee is higher than the small amount your sending.  Then the Philippine government will want their tax on my money that I send my wife.  So I'm getting hit with a user fee on the sending side, and a tax on the receiver side.

What's the difference with investing in just buying Bitcoin and Bitcoin mining?

Well, you can invest in Bitcoin by exchanging it with your fiat currency.  Let's say you want to exchange $3,500 USD to Bitcoin.  With today's rate at 1 Bitcoin to $667.74 (Coinbase).  You'll get 5.2494 BTC in exchange.  If you just invested that dollars to bitcoin.  Then that's what you'll have.  You're bitcoin value will fluctuate in your digital wallet with the US dollar.  Like stocks...the value goes up or down depending on the market.

Now if you invest in mining bitcoins through a mining pool with BitClub Network (BCN).  You first have to become a member.  The only way to do that, is to get sponsored by a member of BCN.  You can't just go to the website and apply to be a member.  There is an affordable membership fee of $99 USD.  You cannot pay in fiat currency.  You will have to pay for your membership and mining pool shares with Bitcoin.

A $3,500 USD investment will allow you to become a Founder with the company.  You'll be able to invest into 3 mining pools of different values for 600 days on each mining contract share.

How do I change fiat currency to bitcoin?

Okay, you'll need a digital wallet.  There are hundreds of digital wallets out there.  Here are some of the ones that I use:

Get the wallet for your region or country.  For Guam and USA, you can use Circle or Coinbase.  I use both.  But now I prefer Circle.  It's more user friendly and not a "Know Your Customer" platform.  While Coinbase is a KYC.  When I'm in the Philippines, I use my Coins PH wallet.  It's the BEST wallet out there.  My wife uses her Coins PH wallet to pay most of our bills from the comfort of our homeWhich saves us travel funds.

Now that you've chosen your digital wallet.  Start using it by syncing the wallet to your checking account or your debit card.  Never use your bank savings account to sync to your digital wallet.  Once you're able to sync your wallet.  Buy bitcoin using your checking account or debit card.  For some new users to the digital wallet, you'll be limited for a time until you are verified by the exchange that manages your wallet.  Your limits will go up depending on the usage and level of verification.  Don't stress over it.  Just buy Bitcoin based on what you're comfortable in purchasing with your fiat currency.  Note:  You'll want to pad or add to your buying bitcoin due to the bank's conversion fee and then the digital wallets transfer fee. Go ahead and make your first Bitcoin purchase.

Now you'll have to decide if your just going to buy bitcoins and hold it.  Or, if you're going to mine bitcoins and let it ride.
Let's go with the 10 year plan for both option scenarios.

Initial Purchase Option 1:

If you just buy $3,500 USD in BitcoinsYour exchange will be 5.2494 BTC for your investment at today's rate of $667.74 USD.

Bitcoin experts say that Bitcoin will be $10,000 USD within the next 10 years.  That's very conservative.  So in 10 years time, your investment will become $52,494.  You didn't do anything but held on to your initial purchase of 5.2494 BTC.

Mining Option 2:

Let's say with the mining option, you decided to accept my invitation to join BitClub NetworkYou paid for one time membership fee of $99 USD and invested $3,500 USD into the Founder packageWhich gets you 3 mining pools for 600 days of mining.

(I'm going to use my own experiences here:  Since July 2015...I've earned 5 Bitcoin for 1 year).

So in 10 years, just using the 5 BTC/1 Year.  You earned 50 BTC from your mining investment.  Again, if we use what the industry experts say bitcoin will be worth in value within the next 10 years at $10,000 USD.  You're 50 BTC will be worth $500,000 USD.  That's still very conservative.

So now that you've seen both options 1 and 2.  Which investment do you feel comfortable in getting started?

The above averages and formula was based on my own experiences with my 3 mining pools, sharing the investment with 4 people and earning percentages from their initial shares and repurchases.  There are other market factors involved that will fluctuate the value of BTC.  Your individual investment and future market, mining, and arbitrage factors will determine your BTC earnings and value.  There is no guarantee that the above example will happen to you.

Final Thought:

I enjoy my investment with Bitclub Network for the following reasons:

  • One time membership fee of $99 USD.
  • No Annual dues.
  • No Back Office fees.
  • No Monthly Autoship.
  • No Attrition.
  • Affordable investments into the 3 mining pools, Arbitrage, and Merchant Services Platforms.

We're not just a mining company anymore.

If you have any questions on how to get started.  Please do not hesitate to ask me.

Election Year Again.

Well, it's that time of the year again.  Both parties are trying to shore up their bases.  National and local committees sending out flyers, emails, and their representatives on the "Get out and vote", but to please vote for our candidate(s) campaign.

Since 1986 when I turned 18 years old, I've been a Republican Conservative.  Yeah, I voted for "Mauleg" back then.  Going against my family who are die hard Democrats was not easy.  The sunshine did not shine on me at a young adult age.  I've always stayed the course voting conservative every election year.  Whether it be 2 or 4 year election cycles.  I've never missed a vote.  When I couldn't make it to the polls.  I voted either Absentee or Early Voting.  I'm glad we have those opportunities here on the island.

However, I walked away from the Republican Party after the 2012 Election Year.  The values have changed both in the local and national parties.  There are to many RINO's that don't support the party platform.  Fighting amongst the membership, even though the Republicans won both chambers in 2008, caused the party to lose the House in 2012.  There were just to many compromises.

The local and national Republican parties are weak and divided.  They've turned their cheeks to many times.  To scared to stand up against political correctness or alleged racist allegations.  As soon as a liberal cries racist...conservatives go running.  They don't want to stand and fight.  Standing up for the law is racist.  Might as well get rid of all laws then, if you don't have the spine to back up law abiding citizens.

Even now, today, the republicans are still fighting each other.  Conservatives against conservatives.  Trump against Never Trump.  It's really entertaining watching from the outside in, the party I left 4 years ago.  Still don't have their Shit together.  For the record, I was leaning towards Dr. Ben Carson.  Unfortunately, he and his campaign were not strong enough to stay in the primaries.  I did not like what Mr. Ted Cruz did sending out information that Dr. Carson dropped out of the race.  That is a low blow if I ever saw one.  Only a snake would stoop that low.

I learned at a young age that all you have is your word and your name.  Your word is your word.  How you stand on your word affects your name.  When candidates whether local or national either verbally or in writing commit that they will support the party's nominee or winning candidates.  Then they should damn well do so.  When state delegates try to renege, on the people's choice during the primary, at the national convention.  You're a snake.  To claim that, "I'll vote my conscience" is nothing more than a cop out.  You're a damn coward.  Just like a little kid playing ball with his friends and because he is losing mid game.  He quits and takes his ball home.  The people made their choice for their respective parties.  They'll make the choice again at the General Election for one of the 3 candidates.

My democrat friends and family are probably enjoying this post.  Don't get me started on the Democratic Party and their damn super delegates.  Your candidates can't stand for the peoples choice so you allow them to cheat by creating super delegates in the party to insure they'll win at your national convention.  You all are just as divided as the republicans.  Nothing more than a party with double standards.

I was asked last weekend at a bbq birthday gathering, what party I'm with and who I am supporting.  I told my primo that I'm neither a member of the democrat nor republican party.  There is a wide field with the local candidates in both parties, some new candidates with a whole bunch of incumbents.  Being in business in the construction industry, I'm not stupid to say who I'm voting for.  This is a small island and many of the candidates take it personally when you don't vote for them.  To do so publicly would be cutting my own throat later, for the future.  Of all the candidates that are running for political office...I've only met with seven of them or their close representatives.

Since residents of Guam cannot vote for president of the U.S.A., even though we are US Citizens. I'm not really concerned about who is running in the presidential race.  But if we did have the vote...I'll be looking closely at both Gary Johnson and Donald Trump.   It's a lot more entertaining watching the two parties bash each other on the internet.

On The Same Page.

Since leaving the hospital almost 3 months ago, I've been busy mentally.  It is really different trying to think up things to do to keep myself busy within the parameters setup by the cardiology staff at the hospital.  Talk about challenges to try to do things easier and better.

Since I've been out.  There are a lot of questions to what happened.  I had a cardiac arrest.  No, it was not because I am obese.  Yeah, I like certain foods.  So what.  Weeks earlier, I had just passed my annual physical evaluation with the VA Clinic.

Just to clarify, so that we're all on the same page.  I had received an electrical shock while troubleshooting a water heater that had shorted out due to rainwater seeping into the electronic control system.  Being an electrician since I was in high school.  Getting a shock was part of the job.

I've been bitten by, "Sparky" so many times.  Yes, I gave electricity a pet name.  It keeps me focused when I work with Sparky.  And yes, I do talk to Sparky when I am working energized.

However, that evening, I was barefooted, and the back porch was wet.  When I went to shut off the disconnect switch to the water heater.  Because it wasn't working correctly.  It wasn't that big of a jolt.  But it was a 220 VAC and Sparky did bite me for a couple of seconds.

The next day, I felt like I was coming down with the flu.  I thought nothing of it.  Actually, the flu was going around back then.  The next couple of days, I started feeling weaker.  Breathing was getting harder...but I kept pushing on.  Then the bloating started.  But it wasn't bad, yet.  I went to the clinic and got treated for asthma and flu symptoms.

Things just went downhill slowly...then rapidly.  I started getting sleepy when I was driving.  The toro pulled me off my feet when I tried to move him to his new grazing area.  I woke up hours later still in the Back Ranch when it started raining.  I bloated up soon after, so bad, I couldn't wear my boots or fit into my clothes.  My legs started sweating profusely.  That weekend I started coughing up fluids.

On Tuesday April 5th, I went into the Emergency Room at Guam Regional Medical Center complaining of chest pains and breathing difficulty.  ER doc asked how long was I feeling like this.  I told him...3 weeks.  I got lectured by the doc for not coming in sooner. I was told I had a cardiac attack and acute pneumonia.

I was treated and admitted.  First  thing was to get rid of the water retention.  That was my first introduction to the foley catheter  (hate that thing!).  Received morphine (really good drug!).

Spent a couple of days in ER waiting for a bed to get vacant.  At least, I was not in the hallway at the other hospital.  Day 4, I was taken to the 4th floor, Room 448.  Really nice room.  Staff was really nice in both departments.  Woke up to a nice view.

The next week was routine, day and night.  Since my pulse rate dropped to below 100 bpm, I was discharged on Saturday April 16th.  My return home was short-lived due to missed meds.  And, I returned the very next day, on Sunday, due to another heart attack.  Many of the doctors were surprised that I was even discharged due to my heart condition.

I was back on the pills again and reintroduced to the foley (still hate that thing!).  Stayed in ER for 4 days, went up to the 4th floor again.  This time to Room 444.  Told doc I wasn't leaving until I'm 100%  better.

Went through the Cardioversion the next Friday.  Woke up during the procedure only to get knocked out again.  Woke up again during recovery.  The rest of the day, and Saturday, I was just out of it.  I didn't want to eat, missed all my meals...didn't drink water.  I just wanted to sleep.  But all the sticking and probing just irritated me.

I was discharged the next day on Sunday April 24th feeling a lot better.  First place to visit was Ben and Yan's Filipino Restaurant in Harmon.  I was craving for Seafood Paella, Lechon Kawali, and Pinakbet.  I also drank lots of water.   Yes, I'm aguaguat, that way.

You guys got it.

Note:  I wrote this in June.  Sorry, only getting around to it now to edit and publish.

CLEARED.

Yesterday, I received my doctors' okay to do aerobic exercises, go back to work, slowly get active again...nothing strenuous.  I'm limited to 5 to 10 lbs lifting.  I gave doc that funny look.  What you talking about only 5 or 10 lbs?  Doc explained that although my heart was getting stronger.  I need to do it slowly.

My stress, test in June, was good.  That evaluation results was what I was waiting for.  It was an okay exam.  Only drawback to it...was I didn't like being in that machine.  I was feeling claustrophobic.  I had to revert to my breathing and meditation exercises to get through it.

My sleep test wasn't good.  I have to redo the sleep evaluation process.  I told my VA doc that was about the time, weeks, before I was hospitalized.  She said, all the reason to go back and redo it.  So I'm going to make arrangements to redo it again this week.  While I'm currently free to do it.  Before I start to get busy again.

It looks like I'll be heading back to the gym again.  I can do my walking in my Back Ranch.  I'm still only allowed to do 30 minutes and slowly increase to 60 minutes.  But I'm now allowed to increase my heart pulse over 100 bpm but SLOWLY, as per doc's orders.  I'm not allowed to do any anaerobic exercises...YET.  This is for the next 6 months with a re-evaluation with my primary doc in 3 months..around November.

I'll still be taking my meds for the next 6 months.  I'm glad two of the seven have changed.  One, the Bumetanide, was twice a day. That is now to be taken once a day, but if I feel bloating to take it twice a day until bloating subsides.  The second med is the Amiodarone went from twice a day to once a day, as well.  I'll be slowly weaned off that med after the 6 months evaluation.

I'll be able to do any aerobic exercises...primarily walking.  When I was told I can do water aerobics.  I asked about swimming, fishing, spearfishing, and diving.  Doc said that I'll be able to do all that EXCEPT diving and Scuba diving.  I had to clarify the diving...it's "no platform diving".  So I asked about free diving (snorkel, mask, fins, and sling) basically spearfishing.  I had to describe the differences between spearfishing and snorkeling.  Doc thought walking the reef and spearing fish.  Told doc, that's not how we spearfish on Guam or at least, not me.  Since I explained it to well...He limited me to no more than 10 feet depth.  10 FEET! The bigger fish are deeper than that.  I have to learn to keep my mouth shut when talking to the docs!  Stop volunteering information.

I knew I was going to get cleared.  But I did not know the extent of what they'll let me do.  The greatest news was that I'm now able to fly...to get on the plane and go see my family.  I was elated when I heard that.  I'M NOW ABLE TO TRAVEL!  WOOOHOOO!!!

So I'm sitting here...writing this post (Yeah, I know 1st blog in along time)...looking at my laptop...browsing the internet.  My daily activity after I do my walking and taking my morning meds.  Not always in that order.  I've been doing this since I got out of the hospital in April.

Now that I'm cleared.  I'm trying to figure out...what I'm going to do.

Blogging and Facebook.

Someone told me before, if you can't think of anything to write.  Just start writing and the ideas will form in your head of what you want to say and then...let your fingers move to write or type the words that are coming in to your mind.  It may be jumbled or unorganized but later on it will make sense when you reread and edit your thoughts on paper.

I miss blogging.  It's been so long since I put pen to paper or typed out my day's or week's experiences onto a post.  It calms me and allows me to rethink what I did that day or week and if I can make any changes to make it better.

Sometimes I rant so I can act on all the stress that I encountered during the day or week.  And by putting it in writing and then unto a post, not for others to read.  But as a way to release my thoughts into the internet chasm and just let it go.

My days on Facebook are numbered.  Once my family is here with me on Guahan.  There is not much of a need for me to be on Facebook daily.  The only reason why I post on Facebook, since I started years ago, is to share with my family, what I do on a daily basis.  Since we are so far apart.  It allows us to communicate and see each others day on their page, to share in events that we are not physically able to attend.

Maybe Rhoda and I wll combine accounts.  She joins mine or I join hers.  Like most couples do. Or we could still keep separate accounts and she can administrate mine.  Decisions.  Decisions.  Decisions.

Well, most of y'all know that we got hit by a typhoon, named "Dolphin".  It guess NOAA Guam has run out of names.  So now were going to names of animals to name the storms in our region.  What's the next name on the list, Elephant, Eel, Emu, etc.?

A lot of unexpected damages from that storm.  Trees that survived stronger typhoons were felled by Dolphin.  Ones that I wanted to cut on the ranch are still standing. Matua Ranch lost a lot of fruit trees and egg laying chickens.  Go to their blogpost to learn more there.

For the job...I started my new project up at the air base, last month.  How's it going?  Not as I had hoped it should be going.  It has it's many challenges.  I hope that is not an indication of how this project will progress moving forward.   I'll give it a rating of 9/10 for now.

Philippine Vacation Trip: Cagayan De Oro & Camiguin Island Summary (LATE POST)

Left Guahan on the morning of the 14th of December 2014 on Philippine Airlines.  Arrived in Manila and waited at NAIA Terminal 2.  I thought my connecting flight was at NAIA Terminal 3.  So I headed to the Inter-terminal shuttle.  I was redirected by security that my flight was upstairs.  The security forces are funny.  As I approached their checkpoint, they all saluted me.  I returned their salute with mine, and asked for a Sitrep.  They just greeted me, "Welcome home, Sir!".  I thanked them as I made my way into to the terminal.

It was great to see Rhoda and my kids later that evening in Cagayan De Oro.  The next day, we boarded a bus to catch the ferry to Camaguin Island.  The bus ride was nauseating even though it was air conditioned.  The ferry ride was fun.  The fresh sea air helped my migraine subside.  We got to our hotel with no issues.  Checked in and had a great dinner.

The next day was sight seeing.  Rhoda hired a really good driver who took us around.  We spent some time at White Beach Island.  We had to take a motorized canoe over there.  It was really windy and the waves were choppy.  It was fun!  Seeing the excitement in my kids faces was awesome.  The kids played along the beach and in the water.  It was going to rain.  But I did what Pastor James would do.  I prayed against it.  Then a break in the clouds appeared and the sun's rays hit the beach.  Went from cloudy to sunny, prayer works.

We stopped by the stairs leading up the mountain.  We took pictures at the base.  Then the old Spanish Church along the road.  My son decided he needed to irrigate the lawn.  At least he didn't do inside on holy ground.   Restrooms were less than 200 feet away.

Our next stop was Soda Springs.  That was a nice pool.  I swam with the kids, enjoyed their company in the kiddie pool.  I then went to the deeper pool.  The water was tingly on my skin.  It was cold but not to cold that it would cause me any pain with my knee or my back.

We visited the sunken cemetary to take pictures.  Then it was off to Cold Springs.  We had lunch there.  I was really hungry at this point.  I didn't swim.  But I was surprised to see our driver volunteering to swim with my son.  So Frenfren could have fun.  Really impressed at that.

Our next stop was the Hot Springs.  That was my favorite stop.  The water was nice and hot.  Not to hot to burn, but really relaxed the body.  I am glad that was our last stop.  We left just before sunset.  I learned that after Rhoda and I left the pool some of the visitors there, two guys, made comments about me and Rhoda.  I guess they thought that I'm Yakuza.  I am laughing just thinking about that.  My daughter, Larraine, made some comments back.

Dinner was fun at the hotel.  I don't know how the kids pulled it off.  But they managed to switch places with their mommy and them.  Rhoda slept in their room.  While the kids slept with me in our room.

To be continued...

Site Safety: Heading back into the field.

A former safety student of mine, came looking for me.  He offered me a position with the company that he is currently working for.  Honestly, I was not really interested.  I just started working with my safety training company's clientele.  Since I left the previous company in September, of last year.  I was in no rush to get back into the field.  I was having fun conducting safety trainings and even scheduling new trainings with new clients.

I was even working with another company that was replying to federal RFP's.  I was writing most of the Safety Narratives for those bid proposals.  One of the bids was supposed to have been awarded back in October 2014.  But due to the amount of costs we put into it.  The government did not realize that it would actually cost that much.  So they held off.

Another bid was supposed to awarded early January 2015, did not happen.  It was cancelled in December of last year prior to me going on vacation.  Last month, the government released it again with a due date mid February, this month.  The award would probably be late February or March/April time frame.

I was patiently waiting on those two bids to get awarded.  However, my financial state was beginning to weaken.  Although, my family could survive on my training income.  I knew it wouldn't be enough.  But even with that going on in my life.  I was not interested in the job opportunity that was offered to me last week Friday.  Out of respect for my former student, I agreed to listen to his offer.

We spent over an hour and a half, listening and talking about both our expectations in regards to safety.  I was surprised to find common ground on what was discussed.  The more the general manager and superintendent talked.  Listening to what they were saying and understanding their needs, and analyzing their demeanor.  I gleaned from the information bombarding me, that they wanted to take their safety program up to the next level.  The general manager wanted his team to know the science of safety, how to find the references, and the reasons based on the standards, whichever is the most stringent...on why his leaders have to work safely.  I thought to myself, isn't that what I'm teaching at the college and safety trainings with my clients, the science of safety.

I thought there were other safeties coming in to be interviewed.  I did not realize that I would be offered the safety position at that moment.  When the general manager hit my preset triggers...I could not resist any longer, but accept the position.

However, this job opportunity is contingent of my approval with NAVFAC for a certain project on AAFB.  I'm going to have to call my NAVFAC network tomorrow.  Although, I'm officially, but unofficially, on board with the company and start next Monday.  I called some of my safety mentors and discussed the situation with them.

I played out my options...Wait for those bids to get awarded or head back into the field on Monday.  One safety manager mentor explained that although I am a great safety trainer and Site Safety & Health Officer, and also have a lot of years and work experience in Construction.  I need more time in the field as a safety.  He explained that I shouldn't just meet the minimum requirements to get a "job".  But to solidify my time with experience so that no one questions my skills, knowledge, and credentials.  Don't chase the money.  Do your time, gain experience, and apply your skills and knowledge in the field as a Safety Officer.  Your reputation as a good SSHO will precede you, and the money will chase you.

With that...I will be back in the field...next Monday.  I start at the Dusit Hotel and then down to Hagat Marina.

ESTA.
