Home Depot-Guam

Home Depot is one of my favorite stores on the mainland.

The Guam Home Depot is located on Airport Road in the municipality of Tumon-Tamuning-Harmon. The store is spacious and well organized. It is a premier one-stop center for the Home Enthusiast.

Since it's opening on November 15th, the store has been packed with customers. The problem with this is that there are not enough shopping carts to go around. You literally have to wait for a shopping cart to be available.

The customer service is first rate. Clerks and managers constantly approaching you if you need help. They'll even get you the the item you need or show you where it's at in the store.

The Guam Home Depot has everything that you need to renovate your home inside or out. There are many items on the shelves or part of the floor displays for you to browse over from fertilizer at the home and garden section to the concrete blocks at the lumber section. They have numerous floor tiles, light fixtures, appliances, shelving, tools to choose from.

Home Depot even has classes available for those who don't have that certain skill: painting, electrical, plumbing, etc. Just check with the information desk or any of the clerks for the next class and what's being taught.

Many of the prices are competitive but what makes it affordable is the one stop convienence. With gas prices high on the island, the Home Depot makes it really affordable to find what you're looking for without having to drive around the island to the other hardware stores.

The Home Depot guarantees its prices are lower than their competitors. That's great. If a competitior advertises a certain item at a certain price and if home depot has the same item but costs more, you pay the competitor's price. All you have to do is bring in the ad. Isn't that cool!

They have three check out areas for your convienence. One set of cashiers by the store's main entrance, the second at the Lumber section, and the third set of cashiers is located at the home garden section. At the main check out area, you have the option of going to a cashier or using one of many self-check out machines. I prefer the cashiers.

I personally rate the Guam Home Depot 4 out of 5 stars. They need more shopping carts.

Update: I upgraded Home Depot to 5 stars. The store has improved since my last review.
